Meet Eir,
Eir is a beautiful 16-hand Thoroughbred, and she's still growing. At just 2 years old, she is an exceptionally rare find, having never raced, allowing her future owner to shape her career from the very beginning.
Eir is currently green and beginning her education under saddle. Because of her age and stage of training, she is best suited for an adult amateur working closely with a trainer or a professional rider who can continue developing her outstanding potential.
Conformationally, Eir is everything you could hope for in a young sport horse. She is beautifully balanced with correct movement and an incredibly comfortable stride. Even as a newly started youngster, she confidently picks up both canter leads, offers an easy-to-sit trot, and naturally has a "whoa before go" mentality, making her an enjoyable and confidence-building ride.
Eir truly is a once-in-a-lifetime horse. She has a larger-than-life personality and a heart to match. She is incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, and genuinely wants to please her rider. She is the definition of an "in-your-pocket" horse—always excited to greet you in the pasture and happiest when she's spending time with her person.
One of Eir's greatest qualities is her exceptional mind. She has never bucked, reared, bolted, or offered any dangerous behavior. From the very first time someone climbed into the saddle, she stood quietly without hesitation or tantrums. She approaches new experiences with curiosity rather than fear and has proven herself to be remarkably brave and level-headed.
She is easy to catch, enjoys being handled, and forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. Her affectionate, puppy-like personality makes her a joy to have around both on the ground and under saddle.
Eir is completely sound, has had no injuries, and boasts excellent feet for a Thoroughbred. She is currently maintained barefoot and has proven to have strong, healthy hoof quality.
Over the coming months, Eir will continue building a correct foundation under saddle. She will begin schooling over crossrails while developing the flatwork, confidence, and education needed to excel as a future sport horse. With her willing attitude, athleticism, and exceptional temperament, we believe she has the potential to succeed in eventing, hunter/jumper, or dressage.
Eir is expected to be available beginning in January 2027, although there is a very good chance she may become a permanent member of our program. Horses like Eir are exceptionally rare, and she has every quality we look for in a lifelong partner.
